1/48 P-47D-25 Styrene Sheet Metal Floor and Ducts for the Miniart Thunderbolts

$1.99

There isn’t much Miniart left out or got wrong on their new P-47 Thunderbolt series. But with the D-25 releases they included only the corrugated floor, and the fuselage vent openings are empty.

The latest research makes a strong argument that the sheet metal floor appears during the D-25 production, rather than the D-30. Fortunately, the sheets of metal were bolted on right over the corrugated floor, making a correction the perfect choice for our Styrene Sheet Metal line.

This download features one 4 x 6 inch (01.6 x 152.4mm) design to cut a replacement floor. The drawings are separated into two colors: black to cut the parts, and red to scribe rivets.

We’ve included ducts for the fuselage vents as well. To be honest, they aren’t strictly necessary, but what the heck, we had extra space. Still, you can barely see into the vents. But if it will keep you up at night, now you’ll have some accurate shapes, details, and depth to squint into.

We recommend .010 styrene for this download, but if you have some vector drawing skills you can rearrange the parts onto separate sheets and use .005, .010, and .015 thicknesses for a bit more finesse.
